Deciding on Genre

We started by having a group discussion, talking about the option of genres we could use. We eventually came to the idea of using the genre of 'Horror'. We concluded that this would be the best genre for the following reasons:

• can experiment with special effects.
• can experiment with camera angles and transitions
• horror is an interest of the groups

Also we decided to use 'Horror' because of the effect we expect it to have on the audience. Which is that there will be an atmosphere of tension. Also the audience will hopefully react in the way we want them too which will probably be: scared and interested in what happens next.


However some of the challenges we may face are: creating the wrong atmosphere, not being able to find the right location or being able to create the right special effects to create a tense atmosphere for the audience.
